Eli Friedman is one of the best known and most well respected colorists working in the New York post production industry. His thirty year career has seen him working at some of New York's most respected post houses, on an endless stream of high end commercial, feature film, episodic television, and music video projects. He is a two time Monitor Award winner, winning the best colorist honor for both spot and music video work. Eli has done color grading for many top film makers and photographers, including legends like Richard Avedon, Gordon Willis, Albert Watson, Annie Leibowitz, Gus Van Sant, Harris Savides, and many others. His pioneering music video work includes clips by the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Barbara Streisand, The Cars, Hall and Oates, Billy Idol, Julian Lennon, and The Cure. His award winning commercial work includes high profile spots for Coke, AT & T, Budweiser, Verizon, Merrill Lynch, Ameriprise, Apple, Fisher Price, American Airlines, Kodak, GE, and a host of the world's biggest advertising accounts.
Recent work at Postworks includes final color mastering for NBC's 2009 series "Kings", as well as final color for Starz new comedy series "Gravity". In addition Eli has completed commercial jobs for McDonalds, Fisher Price, Hasbro, cable promos for Spike TV and Nickelodeon, a new ad campaign directed by Barry Levinson, and his first ever 3D project, a spot for ESPN proclaiming their new 3D broadcasting.
